Huehuetenango is one of Guatemala's most celebrated coffee-growing regions, with its high-altitude, non-volcanic mountains and mineral-rich clay loam soils producing coffees of exceptional sweetness and complexity. The Vides family's coffee journey began in 1958 with the establishment of Finca La Bolsa, and in 2001 they earned international recognition after placing second in the Cup of Excellence.

Today, the family farms several estates, including Terrazas, home of the Bromelias lot, while continuing to invest in local communities through farmer support programs and partnerships with the International Women's Coffee Alliance. Every lot is cupped multiple times to ensure only the highest quality coffee is selected.

Bromelias is carefully processed through an extended fermentation before being washed, traditionally graded by density using flowing water channels, and sun-dried on patios for around 15 days. The result is a clean, expressive coffee that showcases the elegance and precision for which Huehuetenango is renowned.
