As part of our ongoing commitment to doing things better, we’ve spent a significant amount of time reimagining our coffee bags, guided by the same underlying values of quality, sustainability, and transparency.

A Purposeful Shift In Packaging 

Our new coffee bags represent more than a visual refresh—they mark a meaningful step towards reducing our environmental impact. Made using post-consumer recycled (PCR) material, these bags give a second life to discarded household and public waste, and are designed with the future of Australia's recycling infrastructure in mind, particularly the anticipated advancements in soft plastics recycling.

This evolution is part of our broader mission of roasting coffee that does good. By reducing reliance on virgin plastics and helping build demand for recycled alternatives, we’re contributing to a more circular, sustainable economy.

Balancing Environmental Impact with Quality and Durability

In selecting our new packaging, we faced the challenge of balancing environmental responsibility with our uncompromised commitment to roasting and delivering exceptional coffee to our customers – every time.

While compostable, biodegradable and paper-based options are available, many fell short in protecting coffee from oxygen and moisture—two elements that can significantly degrade the flavour, aroma and quality of your coffee.

Our chosen materials offer robust and reliable protection against these factors, ensuring your coffee maintains its intended flavour, freshness, and character. A resealable zipper keeps things airtight after opening, and a one-way degassing valve allows natural carbon dioxide to escape without letting oxygen in.

It’s all part of our efforts to deliver a top-tier coffee experience - from our roastery to your kitchen counter.

We understand that sustainability is an ongoing journey, not a destination. As recycling technologies and materials evolve, we remain committed to reassessing and refining our practices. Our goal is to ensure that every aspect of our coffee—from origin to end-consumer—embodies our commitment to quality, sustainability, and positive impact.
